Add a dash of jazz, and serve it up with plenty of blues, original songs & tight harmonies, and you've got Too Blue, a fresh new sound in acoustic music. They are a mainstay of the bluegrass scene in New England, performing at festivals, concerts and coffeehouses.

From New York and  Connecticut, this dynamic quartet performs sizzling instrumentals, tight vocal harmonies and original songs. Their  independent CD "A Little On the Blue Side" got top marks from the  music press: "Snazzy and fun"...“Uptempo, bouncy bluegrass...clever songs, good singing, strong instrumentals and great flatpicking" quotes Flatpicking Guitar magazine. Too Blue features Joan Harrison (banjo, lead vocal), Betsy Rome (guitar, harmony vocal), and Michael Sassano (mandolin) and Jamie Doris (bass). Harrison’s melodic banjo interplays with Sassano's lyric and lively mandolin, Rome's driving flatpicking guitar and Doris's rock-solid bass. Together they create an exciting brand of bluegrass that swings and entertains
